When we decided to breed cats, I did convince my husband to breed Birmans. This has been a long  discussion for my husband loves Chartreux and wanted to breed those cats.

But as one says: a woman gets what she wants. So we started breeding Birmans. But, as any Mediterranean man, my husband won’t give up. And his birthday present for 2002 is a lovely little Chartreux female.

This has been a long quest: exhibitions abroad to meet Chartreux breeders, exhibitions in France too: this is a French cat. Information about the race to make sure that Chartreux and Birmans go together well. One notes that several breeders breed both races together. Information on the standard, ad on internet... and suddenly an ad in the free local paper, just to find a breeder breeding both races !

We new Mrs. NICOL from exhibitions: she is the chairwoman of CERCLE FELIN AZUR PROVENCE MEDITERRANEE. We first had a long talk with Mr. And Mrs. NICOL, before meeting the little marvel Stella de la Baie d'Agay! The welcome was warm, and we found a lot of information on this race. We breed the same cats, this is a common passion, we love it. We stay in touch for breeding both races is a link between us. It is amazing how cats get humans together: we have the same understanding: breed cats with love for a mutual happiness.

Stella is now part of our great family. She’ll grow there with our Birmans and our Lhassa Apso, Pirate. She is quite at ease, playing the part of the maverick kitten with all the other young cats of the cattery.
